What a year this was turning out to be! After trying off and on to get pregnant for nearly 3 1/2 years, I almost didn't believe the double lines on this thing. This was in September, and I am officially 20 weeks along today.

Becca and Michael's Room

Trying to catch up on blogging. This is the kids' bunk/left bed. I traded beds with another family in the wars for this one. This bed was almost 20 years old, so we handed it down, and painted it white. Then, instead of putting on the bottom bunk, we turned the bottom bed out and made a little reading nook under the bed. The kids love it!

my little slice of heaven

A friend told me about this bird sanctuary 10 min from my house that I have officially fallen in love with. I admit that my mental image of it before I went had lots of trees and dozens of birds, which was way off, but somehow I have learned to love the Salt Lake marsh filled with miles and miles of dry reeds. The sanctuary has a mile of meandering board walks, and two pavilions, one of which is 30 feet high, allowing you to look out at the beautiful surroundings. I am mostly amazed by the fact that it is only 10 minutes away, but I feel 100 miles away in my own private place.
